Welcome to Sweeping the Path

Here you will find the recordings and resources for your supported at-home cleanse.

Seasonal transitions are a beautiful time to declutter, cleanse and clear. Together we will make space for new beginnings and habits to flourish. Ayurveda has so many tools for gentle recalibration of your nervous system and your digestion.

Not only will we de-tox our diets over three days - cutting out any junk, but we will also look at the mindset hacks that can help you stay on track and let go of bad habits when it comes to food, alcohol, caffeine and negative thinking

The cleanse is very adaptable you can go 'hard core' and really jump in with both feet or if you've got other commitments at this time in your life or health issues to work with I'll give lots of options for taking it more gently. If you are interested in a more gentle option please watch the 'holy bean and grain' video which will give you guidance on food choices that include more variety.  You can also use this video to help you shop and plan your meals for the cleanse. If you want to go all in then open up the 'kitchari' PDF and that's your main recipe.  If you want to add some seasonal spice blends you can look at the 'masalas' post for more info on those.

In addition to the food side of things we will also look at abhyanga (self-massage) and other self-care techniques.  This will be a precious time outside of your usual routines where you get to really care for yourself and press the reset button. NOTE: This cleanse was originally offered for autumn season but can easily be adapted for any seasonal transition.

THE HOLY MARRIAGE OF THE BEAN & THE GRAIN

Learn ayurvedic cooking using the 'bean & grain' principle! My beloved teacher Maya Tiwari taught me this method of meal planning and preparation and it has served my family for over 15 years. It's good for all the family from babies to teenagers (and adults) and it's suitable for all doshas. This is the solution for all your questions about how to 'do ayurveda' in the kitchen when you cook for more than one person. It can also be adapted to your own palette and ancestral food preferences (not only Indian food).

What you'll learn:

  • Recipes and wisdom around ayurvedic cooking and meal preparation.
  • Cooking for families and work arounds for when life is busy...
