Here are some highlights of our magical time together ...

New and Old Delhi

We will welcome you at the most divine UNESCO Awarded Heritage Haveli Dharampura, which is a magnificent, royal experience in itself, our home for two nights. The adventure begins here, India's vibrant capital, a city where history, culture, and modernity blend seamlessly.

Its rich heritage is seen in the stunning Mughal architecture, such as the iconic Red Fort and Jama Masjid, which stand as testaments to the grandeur of India's past. The bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk offer a sensory overload of street food, colorful markets, and ancient temples, while India Gate stands as a national symbol of pride.

We'll experience cosmopolitan areas like Khan Market or Connaught Place, filled with shopping, dining, and nightlife. Delhi is a food lover’s paradise, and we love good food, you will get to enjoy traditional North Indian dishes as well as modern dining. With its blend of old and new, Delhi offers something for everyone, we know you are going to love 'our Delhi!'

Johari House - Hardiwar

Johari House in Haridwar is a serene retreat that is our home away from home in India. Nestled in the heart of this sacred city, Johari House provides an immersive experience into the spiritual traditions of India.

The house itself is a beautiful blend of traditional architecture and modern comforts, creating a soothing atmosphere that encourages relaxation and reflection.

The house is also conveniently located near many of Haridwar's sacred sites, allowing guests to partake in the city's rich religious heritage.

This is a family home and Seema and her daughter Anu welcome us with open arms as treasured guests. We will have an ayurvedic cooking class with Anu and a Ganges Fire Puja (ceremony) on this leg of our trip.

Rishekesh - Yoga Capital of the World

Rishikesh is a dream destination for yogis. The city is dotted with ancient temples and ashrams. The serene environment, surrounded by the majestic Himalayas and the holy river Ganges, provides the perfect setting for deepening your spiritual practice.

Many of the local cafes and restaurants offer vegetarian and vegan food options, and the city is also known for its Ayurvedic treatments and wellness centres.

The Beatles' visit to Rishikesh in 1968 is a significant event in the city's history. Their stay at the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's ashram not only influenced their music but also brought global attention to yoga and its spiritual practices.

Rishikesh offers a unique blend of spiritual heritage, natural beauty, and a vibrant yoga community, making it a must-visit destination on our tour.

The Taj Mahal - Symbol of Love

Visiting the Taj Mahal is a deeply moved experience. The intricate marble carvings, the perfect symmetry, and the way the entire structure seems to glow in the sunlight is breathtaking. Walking through its grand archways, you could feel the love and devotion that went into its construction. It is a testament to human ingenuity and a symbol of undying love. The serene ambiance, coupled with the fascinating history, will make your visit to the Taj Mahal a truly unforgettable experience. We have loved every moment of our time there and know you will too.

Jaipur - Palaces and Grandeur

This is a photo of the actual hotel we are staying in. We promise you have never seen anything like it!

Jaipur's rich history and spiritual energy are palpable, offering a unique blend of tranquillity and vibrancy that perfectly complements our spiritual journey. The stunning architecture of the palaces are world famous. Jaipur is also renowned for its bustling markets, where you'll find stunning shopping opportunities. Our hotel - converted from an old palace / havelis, offers a glimpse into the royal past of the city, while providing all the comforts and amenities for a peaceful stay.

Wonderful, colourful vibrant India!

'I knew when this trip was offered it was for me. I didn’t want a Western style tour of India, I wanted to have my soul touched, to immerse myself into the spiritual and soak up the history. It was everything I hoped for and more.'

About Edwina and Katie

If you've arrived here you probably know us already but here's a little introduction anyway.

Both of us have been travelling in India many times over many years. Between us we've got nearly three decades of experience 'on the ground'. India has changed (just a bit!) in that time but what hasn't changed is our love for it. We took our first sold-out pilgrimage group to India in January 2024 and the trip was a huge success. We will return in January 2026 and we'd love you to join us.
