NOTES FROM CLAIRE: The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) released guidelines that offer evidence-based recommendations for intrapartum care (labor and birth) for women without pregnancy complications who choose to birth at home. The guidelines emphasize the importance of a safe and timely transfer to a hospital setting when necessary, and outline the conditions and considerations for a safe homebirth experience
