NOTES

Katie jumped into the Bhagavad Gita teachings, highlighting its context, differences from other texts (specifically Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra), and the role of Krishna in the teachings. She also addressed the distorted caste system in India and its impact, emphasising the importance of selfless service and devotion. Lastly, she contrasted these Eastern cultural values with the Western capitalist and consumerist mindset, encouraging us all to adopt a selfless service approach in our daily lives.

Bonus Session #2

NOTES

Katie discussed the concepts of karma and reincarnation, emphasising their interconnectedness and the importance of detachment for personal growth. The session also explored the significance of engagement and non-attachment in creating positive change and the role of imagination in envisioning broader impacts. The conversation ended with Katie expressing her hope to continue sharing these teachings in the future and thanking everyone for their participation in this 2024 round of the training.
