Welcome to Red Thread Dreaming
a sanctuary of teachings, practices, and sacred stories. This course has been lovingly woven to guide you into deep connection with your inner wisdom, your feminine lineage, and the living thread that ties all women across time and space.
Â
What is the Red Thread?
The 'red thread' is an ancient symbol found in many cultures — representing the invisible but unbreakable connection between women across generations. It ties us to our ancestors, to our daughters, and to all those whose lives are woven with our own. This thread lives not only in myth and poetry, but in our very biology, through the stories passed down in our cells, our wombs, and our hearts.
This course is an invitation to explore that connection.
Through experiential practices, storytelling, and embodied teachings, you’ll be guided to gently unravel inherited patterns, reclaim your feminine rites of passage, and remember your place in the long line of women who came before you.
Red Thread Dreaming is a healing journey and a practical resource. It weaves together ancient wisdom and modern science, personal reflection and shared experience so you can move forward resourced, and in deep relationship with your own unfolding path.

Namaste, I'm Katie Rose..
I'm the founder of Bhakti Rose and a teacher of ayurveda and yoga for over 25 years. I’ve owned and run yoga studios all over the world and spent many years studying in India, the UK, America and Australia. I’ve had the honour and blessing of learning with some of the best teachers in the world and from some of the strongest, most authentic lineages.
Reflections On Some Of My Own Red Thread Journey ...Â
My grandmother was a raging alcoholic but also so much fun. She left a trail of destruction wherever she went, but she always looked incredibly glamorous and put together, and she taught me the power of asking for what you want. In 2026 I plan to start writing a novel about her incredible and shocking life (just for fun).Â
The older I get, the more I realise we are all such a mixture of light and dark, of healed and unhealed. We carry our own contradictions, and we carry those of the women who came before us too. Whether we name it or not, we are all walking around with the karmas and the baggage of our ancestors (something yogic philosophy has long recognised).
My 'Red Thread Dreaming' program is about this work of remembering and healing. It is a journey into the feminine lineage we each belong to - an exploration of the stories, patterns, and gifts that live in our blood and bones. Through guided practices, meditations, and rituals, we begin to unpick the tangled threads and weave a more conscious relationship with the women who came before us, and the ones who will come after. This work has felt extra important to me since having a daughter.Â
You might not agree with me but I also genuinely believe this work has the potential to heal physical symptoms connected to our womanhood. Symptoms such as endometriosis, fertility issues and post-natal depression are all linked to our Red Thread in my opinion. This course speaks to every life stage (from first bleed through to menopause and elderhood) and honours the sacred wisdom held in each.
Who is this course for?
This course is for women who feel the call to remember. For those who sense there is more to womanhood than what we've been taught — more beauty, depth and sacredness.
You might be:
→ Longing to reconnect with your womb, your intuition, or your feminine lineage.
→ Walking through a major life threshold — menstruation, pregnancy, birth, menopause, or grief.
→ Curious about cyclical living, ancestral healing, and the subtle threads that weave the feminine path.Â
→ A teacher, coach or educator who works with women and wants more tools and frameworks within which to offer support to your students and clients.
If you're yearning to feel at home in your body and your life (and to walk alongside other women)Â this program is for you.
Science now confirms what many ancient cultures have always known ...
we are deeply shaped by the lives of those who came before us. The field of epi-genetics reveals that our environment, emotions, nutrition, and stress levels can influence how our genes behave — and these changes can be passed down through generations. During pregnancy, a mother’s experiences don’t just affect her own body but can shape her baby’s long-term health and wellbeing. Even more incredibly, when a woman is carrying a baby girl, she is also carrying the eggs of her future grandchildren — meaning her choices ripple forward through time in profound and intimate ways.
'Red Thread Dreaming' invites you to explore this intergenerational web of memory, biology, and wisdom. We are not isolated individuals, but part of a living lineage. The experiences of our grandmothers live on in our cells, just as our lives will echo forward into the generations yet to come. Through gentle teachings rooted in both science and soul, this course helps you reconnect with the truth that your body is not just yours — it is a sacred thread in a much larger tapestry of healing and resilience.

LET'S BREAK IT DOWN
Here's what's waiting for you inside...
MODULE 01
Rose Womb Healing
Coming Home to Your Centre
We begin by arriving fully in the present and softening into what is.
This opening module offers a gentle foundation of womb-centred practices to awaken the energetic gateway of your inner temple. Through guided meditations, healing visualisations, and the shared stories of women on this path, you’ll begin to restore your relationship with your womb space — whether or not you have a physical womb.
This is where the dreamwork begins, you’ll be held in practices that invite trust and stability as well as reconnection with your body’s innate wisdom.
MODULE 02
Empowered Pathway
Honouring the Arc of a Woman’s Life
With a steady foundation in place we journey onward — tracing the spiral of womanhood through its many thresholds.
This module honours the sacred seasons of a woman’s life: from puberty to the fullness of motherhood (or our years of 'creative birthing'), and the deep initiations of menopause and elderhood. Each phase is explored as a portal of power and transformation.
You’ll find special practices for those who are pregnant or postpartum, alongside reflections for all stages of life. Whatever stage you are in this is an invitation to reclaim your timeline as sacred, on your terms.
MODULE 03
Guest Teachers
Wisdom from the Wider Circle
The final section expands the weave to include the voices of other wise women.
Here, you’ll meet guest teachers who bring their unique threads to the tapestry — including teachings on sacred breast massage, cacao ceremony, ancestral mapping, herbalism, and more. Each session opens a new doorway into embodied remembrance, complementing and deepening your core journey.

BONUS MODULE:
Understanding the Red Thread, Ayurveda and the Divine Feminine
This video was recorded as part of a teacher training program (Katie is a guest teacher). We include it here as it's a great background and context builder for the Red Thread teachings.Â

Â
🌹 Gently release stories of shame, pain, or disconnection from your womb and feminine lineage and feel at home in your body?
🌹 Honour the seasons of your womanhood (from first bleed to menopause and beyond) as sacred rites of passage, rather than medical events to endure?
🌹 Understand how the experiences of your mother, grandmother, and even great-grandmother live in your cells, and lovingly begin to rewrite what gets passed forward?
🌹 Reconnect with your inner voice and body wisdom, no longer looking outside yourself for answers, but trusting the truth that rises from within?

🌹 Recognise that your healing is part of something greater. It is a thread that ripples out to your ancestors, your children, and the wider collective of women.
This is the heart of Red Thread Dreaming.

A Parting Note From Katie
If you’ve made it this far down the page, chances are something in this offering is resonating for you.
Something in you knows that the healing you seek is ancestral, cyclical, and deeply personal. Red Thread Dreaming was created as a space to honour that knowing.
This is a living offering, born from decades of work with women in all seasons of life.
I’ve been a yoga teacher for over 30 years and an Ayurveda educator and mentor to hundreds of women around the world. I’m also a mother of five children, each born in their own unique way — from serene water births to chaotic hospital dramas — and I’ve walked the full spectrum of birth and motherhood, both as a woman and as a guide.
As a doula for over 15 years, I’ve supported births in homes, hospitals, and birth centres — with and without intervention — and have witnessed firsthand the power, vulnerability, and transformation that unfolds in the birthing space. I’ve also served as a guest teacher for the Australian Doula College for many years.
My book The Yoga of Birth has been in print for 15 years and read by thousands, and my accompanying online program has trained over 400 women as certified prenatal yoga teachers. I’m proudly registered with Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia as a senior pregnancy yoga teacher trainer.
All of this to say — I bring not only knowledge but lived experience, devotion, and a deep reverence for the feminine journey.
My work blends science and soul, structure and softness, and I’ve quite literally spent thousands of hours teaching, supporting, and holding space for women as they return to themselves.
Right now, I’m diving deeper into my own Red Thread through a creative writing project called The Blue Dress, tracing the stories of the women in my family — all the way back to my great-grandmothers. It’s tender, powerful work. And I believe it’s the work of our time.
So if you’re ready to reclaim your story, honour your lineage, and step into a deeper rhythm of healing I invite you to join me.
