For many of us, Christmas is a season of abundance, shared meals and time with those we love. In Pasay, it's a very different story, I've seen this with my own eyes. I've travelled all over the world and seen poverty in many forms but what I saw in Pasay has never left me. Children with no shoes, looking for food in rubbish bins. Dogs chained up for 24 hours a day, week after week.
Your donation helps provide veterinary care, food and shelter for abandoned and injured dogs, while also supporting Pasay Pups' annual Christmas outreach to children living in extreme poverty with food, gifts and essential supplies.
One of the reasons I've supported Pasay Pups for so many years is that it is an extraordinarily grassroots organisation. There are no paid executives, no large administrative overheads and no fundraising machinery behind the scenes. The entire organisation is run by volunteers, so your donation goes directly towards things that genuinely matter: food, veterinary treatment, medication, shelter, supplies and Christmas gifts for children. Katie Rose is an author, yoga teacher and educator with more than twenty-five years' experience studying and teaching yogic philosophy and subtle anatomy. A lifelong advocate for compassionate living, she has been supporting animal welfare charities for many years and has raised funds for Pasay Pups every Christmas since volunteering with them in the Philippines in 2018. As a mother of five, she is especially moved by the charity's work caring not only for abandoned animals but also for children living in poverty.
